Like to spend some time in Afghanistan helping to rebuild the country's print journalism infrastructure?
The Institute for War and Peace Reporting in London is currently working with Media Action International of Geneva and the faculty of Journalism at Kabul University to support Afghan journalists working across the state and independent media, and it's looking for trainers. Placements will last from three to six months and salary is dependent on experience. The duties include conducting workshops and seminars on journalism and the media, providing one-on-one training and feedback through the editorial process, commissioning articles, arranging translations and editing articles under the guidance of IWPR's Afghan Programme Co-ordinator in London.
