Les Blogs

The place to be on Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 December is Paris as Les Blogs 2.0 will be happening there. The first day will be devoted to the phenomenon; the second to the tools. Big-name speakers lined up include, Robert Scoble of Microsoft, Jan Ni of Nokia Lifeblog and Rebecca MacKinnon of Harvard. Congratulations to serial entrepreneur Loïc Le Meur of Six Apart for putting together what promises to be an outstanding event.

If you can't wait for Paris in December and if you've got the blog fever, there's always Bloggforum 3 in Stockholm on 19 November. Should one attend? Certainly, because the organizers promise that the forum "is about the end of the blog (as we know it)." Intriguing. And who would want to miss the "Video blogging — Make blogging immersive" workshop with vlogger Raymond Kristiansen? It's in "Swedish with a Norwegian accent". If you'd prefer English with an English accent, the talented Ben Hammersley will be presenting "Eight ideas that will really revolutionise the 21st century (and why blogging isn't one of them)." Seeing that Ben coined the "podcasting" word, what's the betting that music isn't on that list?

And the Stockholm-Paris connection? Guess who's delivering "Corporate blogging and the future of corporate communications"? In English. Why, it's Loïc Le Meur of Les Blogs 2.0. Small world. Given the role that Paris plays in the world of haute couture, Loic will probably hang around for the panel on "Fashion blogs". Will Anina be there? That's what we'd like to know.
