Kids rule!

Remember that Rainy Day post from early January about "The JCB Song" by Nizlopi, which topped the Irish charts over Christmas? What really gave the song its, ahem, traction was a great animated video that helped the thing whip around the web like fire. The JCB Song is about a kid and the animation is child-like, but not childish, and all this helped make it sticky. Anyway, if you know British and Irish folk music you'll know of John Spiers & Jon Boden, the duo who sing and play a variety of fiddles, accordions and melodeons. Their version of the "Prickle-eye Bush" is a masterpiece and now it's been animated thanks to Oliver Hayes. He's 12 years old, by the way. Kids rule!

He's 13 now, and has done many other flashes, including animating 'Witch Doctor' by David Seville (i think...)
