From The Commonplace Book of Zadok the Roman:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open it to page 161.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around and look for the coolest book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.
Here goes: "The sounds of feet coming up the ladder put to flight these musings on obsolete headgear and their sociological implications ('and about time too,' I can hear the reader murmuring)." Page 161, Mani: Travels in the Southern Peloponnese by Patrick Leigh Fermor.

Typical! I open Eyewitness Travel's Top 10 Tuscany, proud that I hadn't gone in search of something hip, only to find that the book has a mere 160 pages.
