Rainy Day's global village
One can spend hours scrutinizing the output of Google Analytics, but for non-numbers crunchers, the pretty pictures are every bit as satisfying as the data streams. Take this one which shows Rainy Day's global reach, as it were.
Whatever about the depth, the breadth here is impressive. No? From the tropical shores of Hawaii to the heart of New Zealand, Rainy Day spreads its message. Up and down the east and west coasts of the USA and into the cold expanses of Canada, our musings are followed by an eclectic community. Readers in Scandinavia are joined by like-minded ones in Shanghai. Think about that for a second, and get this: Irish and Indian visitors have spent time here recently, as have residents of the Iberian Peninsula and the Persian Gulf. Terms such as "global village" are flung around at all kinds of gatherings today, but it is only when a real villager such as your commentator looks at this kind of graphic that the "global" part becomes meaningful. Truly, ours is a magical age.
