Gone, Gone, Gone

There's life in the old dogs yet. That's what people said at the end of last year when they witnessed the resurrection of Led Zeppelin. What had they expected? Zimmer frames? Those with their ears to the ground knew that the band would be in fine form because Zeppelin vocalist Robert Plant and bluegrass singer/fiddler Alison Krauss had recorded a fabulous collaborative album, Raising Sand, a few months previously. It's great music. Here's one of our favourite tracks.

Congratulations to T- Bone Burnett for having the resilience to concentrate on his guitar in the middle of this hot pairing. Tip of the trendy Irish tweed flat cap, by the way, to Anne Hodgson of The Island Weekly for the Krauss/Plant CD. Note: Plant and Krauss will be in the greater neighbourhood during the Rainy Day birthday week. Tempting. Tempting. Tempting.
