Lorraine Bracco's got that Sarah look
Who should play Sarah Palin when her story gets the inevitable Hollywood treatment? Conventional wisdom would have us believe that Tina Fey has a lock on the part, but Rainy Day is putting forward Lorraine Bracco, famous for her role as mob-psychiatrist Dr. Jennifer Melfi in The Sopranos.
But we've got a problem here, Houston. See, unlike Sarah Palin, Lorraine Bracco has been married and divorced twice. Then there's this little matter: After a turbulent relationship with Harvey Keitel, Bracco began in a five-year battle for custody of her daughter Stella from the star. The legal fees and taxes were so onerous that Bracco had to file for bankruptcy. But then along came Tony Soprano and made her solvent once more. Oh, oh, this just in: In May last year, Bracco appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show to discuss how she had conquered clinical depression. That's the same Oprah, by the way, who's been campaigning for Obama and who refused to allow Palin on her show. Dear me. We might need to rethink this one. Next candidate, please!
