Sand sculpted Simpsons in Spain

The sand Simpsons

Captured by Mrs Rainy Day on a beach in Spain, the Simpsons sculpted in sand. And doesn't Homer look great. "Rock-stars: is there anything they don't know?" he once said. And who can forget this gem: "Internet? Is that thing still around?"

Betcha he loved this headline from the Telegraph: "Russia to ban Simpsons and South Park". Why so drastic, Vlad? Answer: He wants to restore Russian family values. Ask the Georgians all about it.

Seeing that Putin is pally with Chavez, Homer probably anticipated this development: "The Simpsons has been dropped from morning TV in Venezuela after being deemed unsuitable for children — and has been replaced by Baywatch. But it also includes a talk show hosted by the country's president, Hugo Chavez." And the Venezuelan leader once gave a speech which reportedly lasted eight hours, and an abridged version of the rant has been broadcast every day by the anti-Simpsons station since February 2007! "Dictators: is there anything they won't say?" as Homer might say.

Speaking of Chubby, here's some rather bad news for pals of the pudgy Venezuelan bore. By the way, as a reward for your loyal readership of Rainy Day, here's how to insert Homer in a text message:
