So it's only natural that he pulls out a fiddle and begins to play. Well, it's natural, I suppose, if you're Andrew Bird. The multitalented phenomenon, who has made whistling respectable again, performs Imitosis here.

"We were all basically alone / And despite what all his studies had shown / That what's mistaken for closeness / Is just a case of mitosis." Where does Andrew Bird fit into today's musical mosaic? Well, he's up there with the likes of Sufjan Stevens, to mention a kindred soul. These hugely creative artists are producing music that defies definition.
