App of the decade

You know that something has changed when the abbreviation of a word becomes the accepted form of that word. People do not speak of the "application"; they talk about the "app". Apple developed a new business with its App Store, which now contains some 100,000 apps. More than two billion of the things have been downloaded. Capitalism rocks!

The best app, without doubt is Paper Toss. It's simple and addictive. You've got to get the paper ball into the basket, but that fan is blowing and can affect the trajectory. For the millions who make a living in the Knowledge Society by pushing paper, this is the app of the decade, the century, perhaps. More intellectual types will opt for The Font Game. Even better is Julie Jackson's Glamourpuss: The Enchanting World of Kitty Wigs. The app lets you put straight or curly wigs of every colour and variety on your favourite cats, dogs or other friends. Apps rock!
