The last of the melting snow
The release of The Last of the Melting Snow at this time last year saw The Leisure Society being heralded as the Brit answer to Grizzly Bear and Fleet Foxes. Last September, Brian Eno cited The Leisure Society as "The only other thing I've been listening to lately with enthusiasm."
Nick Hemming and Christian Hardy are the powers behind the group, and the pair have built their band-in-progress with members of The Miserable Rich plus Sons of Noel and Adrian. Mike Siddell, who plays violin with Lightspeed Champion, is in there, too. All will be featured here in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
